*cheers* Five people have signed in, so it looks like we're in business! [[Edit: and just because Photoshop was right there, here's a banner for the story!]]
The characters for the Eye of Orion Timeline are
Does anybody have a preference as to when the timeline should start? Next week isn't so good for me, because I'll be preparing for some major tests, but this week or the week of the 25th is fine. We've already had a vote for "not July". XD
Any other characters out there? Feel free to sign up!
The Second Doctor will be the Season 6-B Doctor: he didn't regenerate at the end of The War Games, but was roped into becoming a secret agent for the Time Lords. The result of this is that he can now pilot the TARDIS, and is sneaking in a trip to take a twenty-year-old Victoria to graphology school with a quick detour through the Eye of Orion to show her that there are some peaceful places in the universe. Once there, the mercury fluid link fails, leaving them stranded outside the TARDIS until the contamination is filtered off.
Meanwhile, the Ninth Doctor, Jack, and Trace were forced to leave Rose in the hospital on Skaro to finish healing after our last timeline. Jack, Trace, any ideas on how they get to the Eye? I vote they get bored and start meddling with the TARDIS controls and it takes off wildly and lands them there. In any case, it should be impossible for the post-Time-War Doctor to exist in the same reality as any pre-Time-War Time Lord, so that'll give them a mystery to solve.
Once on the Eye, let's give everyone a chance to interact. What are your people doing?
Excellent! The Second Doctor will be glad to meet them both, though temporal stuff may occur if he's told about the Time War; the Ninth will remember Harry from his past and be astounded that Jo is alive at all. Should the Ninth remember Jo from another timeline?
Jo spent a bit of time with Doctor 6....but because the results of the incident seemed to scar him, he tried to make sure Jo thought the entire incident was a dream (even going so far as to deposit her in Eureka and restore her car). See 'rpgwho' roleplay from 2005 for details.
While I can't see Trace pushing buttons etc, I can see her asking Jack if he knows what controls are and how they work...especially if the Doctor's not in the control room for some reason...
I figure once they land, Trace will definitely want to explore, seeing as how she's wanted to go into space most of her life.
Heh... the Doctor will have to step out for some reason and give them that chance. ^_^
If you've ever seen The Five Doctors, you'll know what the Eye of Orion looks like; otherwise, there are some screencaps here -- it's the place where Turlough is sketching before the Fifth Doctor collapses.
Hi. Just wanted to leave an FYI here that, for this week, I may be a bit slower than usual with my responses, anywhere from a few hours up to a day. I'm dogsitting at my parents' this week, and although my folks have a Dell with a DSL connection, this DSL has thus far proven unreliable at best. For example, I will be in the middle of reading/writing an email and I lose my connection. It takes anywhere from several minutes to several hours before the connection comes back.(I so wish that sonic screwdrivers were real and that I had one that wasn't just a toy!!!) I will also be going back possibly daily, to my apartment which has my computer and a cable modem, which is not only quick, but very reliable.
